Academic Governance — Participate in departmental meetings and academic committees.
Curriculum Development — Participate in development and review of Geography curricula; contribute to improvement of teaching methodologies
Operational / Technical Responsibilities (i) Teaching Administration — Prepare and deliver lectures and academic materials in accordance with approved curricula; conduct assessments including examinations and coursework evaluations.
Research and Publication — Conduct research contributing to advancement of knowledge in Geography and related fields; publish research findings in reputable academic journals.
Research and Scholarly Activities — Conduct research and publish scholarly work in peer-reviewed academic journals; participate in research projects and conferences
Stakeholder Engagement — Participate in academic conferences and professional forums; engage with relevant professional bodies and stakeholders
Student Supervision — Supervise undergraduate research projects and assist in postgraduate supervision; provide academic guidance and mentorship.
Student Support — Provide academic advising and mentorship to students; support student research and academic development
Teaching and Learning — Deliver lectures, tutorials, and seminars at undergraduate and postgraduate levels; prepare course outlines, teaching materials, and assessment tools.
The Lecturer is responsible for delivering teaching and learning activities, conducting research, and contributing to academic program development
The position supports curriculum delivery, student supervision, and scholarly research activities, providing quality teaching and supporting student academic development.
